Beachcomber Relics

Picture
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the iconic series, the Sunshine Coast Museum and Archives launched a new and improved Beachcombers exhibit on Saturday, August 17th, 2013.

Funded by the Town of Gibsons, the new exhibit celebrates all things Beachcombers. The centerpiece of the exhibit is the recreation of the Molly’s Reach counter top with a life-sized photo of the cast as seen in the image below.  Visitors are invited to “sit down and have a coffee” with their favorite characters, and peruse archival photographs and scripts. There are also life-sized cut-outs of Nick and Relic for photo opportunities and the continuous screening of 3 classic Beachcombers episodes (Save the Persephone, The Tray Tree and Valley of Headless Men).

Beachcombers alumni were on hand at our launch party to answer questions about the much-loved series.
